Data Subject Requests
How to request access, erasure, correction, restriction, objection, or consent changes — and what to expect from our process.
This documentation describes our implementation towards compliance with UK GDPR and related privacy law. It is not legal advice and does not certify full regulatory compliance.
Who can submit
Signed-in members should use the UCP Privacy area so we can link requests to your verified account. If you cannot sign in, email us at the address below with enough information to verify identity — we may ask for additional confirmation.
Request types
- Access — receive a copy of personal data we hold (prepared by staff after review; no instant download from the UCP).
- Erasure — ask us to delete or anonymise data where permitted; some records are retained for legal, security, or anti-abuse reasons.
- Correction — fix inaccurate data we control on the website and linked systems we operate.
- Restriction / objection — limit or object to certain processing where applicable.
- Consent management — change optional analytics cookies (also available without a privacy ticket via cookie preferences).
Process and timelines
After you submit, staff verify identity, triage the request, and may run internal dry-run planners to classify data across website and overseer systems. Destructive actions require explicit staff approval; low-risk website categories may be executed only after plan review.
We aim to respond within one month for most requests, and may extend where complexity requires it, informing you of the reason.
We do not guarantee deletion from third-party platforms we do not control (Discord, Tebex, NodeBB forums). We will take steps on systems we operate and document limitations in our response.
What we do not do automatically
- Instant full account wipe from this page.
- Immediate removal of data from backup tapes or off-site archives — backup rotation and tombstone replay checks apply.
- Deletion of moderation or audit records where manual review or legal obligation requires retention.
